3 Easy Ways To Lose Weight

Well, for most of us, losing weight is about self control. Of course there are people with medical conditions where this does not apply, but other from that, a little self control goes a long way. So the very first way to lose healthy weight is to simply eat less. More particularly eat less of the bad stuff and substitute it with good wholesome food.

Most of us over eat and possibly indulge in too much alcohol. Just try to stop over indulging yourself a little. Do not hit the cookie tin after dinner or give in to that second helping of dessert. Cut out the beer when you get home. Do not be too radical, but try a little restraint and then maybe a little more.

Number two is to get some more exercise. Don’t go crazy but get up half an hour earlier and go for a vigorous walk. You might even think about using the exercise machine you bought over two years ago and has only been used for about 20 minutes in all that time. Exercise is not that hard really, just physically do a few of the things that you are now using a machine for.

Get a push mower instead of a ride on. Wash the dishes by hand instead of using the dishwasher. Walk to the store to pick up a paper instead of using the car. Vacuum your house yourself instead of getting a cleaner in. Turn the TV off and go for an evening walk or join a club, a gym or hobbies class. You get the idea. Replace your more inactive pursuits with more active ones.

The third simple way to lose weight is to worry and fret about it. No, scrap that, but how about setting sensible goals for yourself that you can easily accomplish. Do not use huge unrealistic steps, but little incremental advances to your goal weight. Do not cut out everything at once, but break down your goals into daily and weekly things to do.

You are the best person to decide on these things but discipline yourself to do it and carry it through. As you succeed at each goal you will gain more confidence and be more certain of success. That is why it is so vital to use small achievable goals. Forget about trying for the impossible.
