There are lots of weight loss programs out there, but for me, I use Acai for weight loss. I have tried many weight loss programs and have been successful at some but I lucked into discovering that Acai can help me lose weight, so now I’m all about acai for weight loss.

Some people never heard of acai. When people refer to acai, they usually mean the acai berry. The acai berry grows on the acai palm tree and the acai palm trees grow in tropical, rain forest countries. Countries such as Brazil have plenty of acai palm trees and eating acai berry is common there. The acai tree is now a new breed of trees but they are hidden in swampland, away from attention of civilized countries.

The acai berry is so healthy. It has more nutrients than all other fruits and even vegetables and other natural healthy fruits. The acai berry contains protein similar to an egg, fatty acid similar to olive oil, has more than 16 phytonutrients and antioxidants, has a low glycemic index and much more. If you see a list of all the health benefits that are in the acai berry, you will want to eat some.

People have only started noticing that acai is great for weight loss because manufacturers of acai products rarely advertise the weight loss benefits of the acai berry. Because the acai is so healthy, its health benefits far exceed its weight loss benefits. However, when people start eating the acai berry or acai juice, they notice that their health has improved and along with it, weight loss. So, acai lovers unofficially claims that using acai for weight loss is very effective.

There are still not many research into the actual health benefits of the acai berry. There are few scientists working on the acai berry but since the berry itself is not readily available in the US, few people are working on it. Also, when scientists analyze the acai berry, they are more curious about the cancer curing properties of the berry rather than just the weight loss property.

Nowadays, you can buy many acai products in grocery stores. Whenever the fresh acai berry is not available, you can buy frozen acai packs, acai ice cream, acai chocolate bars and many other acai products. Many manufacturers have begun using acai in many of their products taking advantage of the recent acai craze. However, whenever buying acai for weight loss, be sure to read the content of the product because many of them contain very little acai and more sugar and other bad-for-you ingredients.

In general, many people have found it effective to use acai for weight loss. If you are overweight, using acai for weight loss usually will help you lose weight. The key thing to remember is that acai will make you healthy so if you are undernourished, then eating the acai berry will give you enough nutrients to be healthy again.
