Is It Dangerous To Gain Weight After Lap Band Surgery?

December 8th, 2009

A girl that I work with had lap band surgery a year ago. She was 2 months prego when they did the surgery,-she had no clue -and the doctors didnt check the positive test. Any way (thats a very long story) She had the baby and he is fine. She is suing the hospital, and she said they wont release her to another hospital to get her band filled, and of course they wont do it there. since then she is just gaining weight. Is this harmful to her?

Is it harmful to gain weight? It is never a good thing to gain weight but it will not hurt the band. They may have a harder time accessing the port down the road but it will not hurt it .
