The stomach area is the most common spot for the body to store excess energy or what is better known as love handles. Consequently it is also the common position that many people want to lose weight from. To get rid of belly fat fast isn’t that simple as you can not target that area directly. Your body will burn energy from the places it chooses. So all you can do is eat healthily and work out and eventually the belly fat will be reduced.

The first thing you should do is to take a look at what you are eating. Processed carbohydrates as an example can be a basis for too much fat on the body. You’ll find them in pasta, bread, potatoes and pastry. If you can cut down on these kinds of carbs and get your energy from different carbs then you will not be storing as much extra fat.

Increasing your protein intake can help your body to function better. Protein is the building block for growing healthy muscles, so they are necessary for your health. It is easy to find good sources of proteins in lean meats, chicken, fish and nuts.

Another key thing is to not miss any meals. That is just not helpful and can in fact be counter productive in your weight loss efforts. You need to eat small meals but consume them often. Don’t allow yourself to become hungry, just keep snacking on small nourishing meals every 3 hours or so.

To lose belly fat fast you must exercise. Without it you may struggle to lose enough fat to make a difference. Diets alone won’t be effective enough for you to lose pounds healthily. So attempt to fit in a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise per day. This could be as undemanding as walking to start with. Then you can step things up to a jog as you start feeling fitter.

By combining these diet and fitness strategies, you can seriously begin to make a change in your life and begin losing the belly fat that is literally pulling you down.
